| More than comparable to the very best Japanese green teas, but is grown in the Chinese region from which traditional Japanese-style teas originated. Much of Japan's tea tradition is a studied snapshot of China's archaic past. Ancient techniques of shading and steaming are still used to expertly craft this renowned green tea. Sencha is sometimes called 'spider leg' and this tea's needle-shaped leaves attest to that. With its bright water, mild blanched-greens aroma, light body and rich grassy aftertaste, this tea offers something truly unique. To this we have added toasted rice and popped com called 'irigenmai'. This adds a unique toasty and nutty flavor to an already superb tea. |
